Artist Statement:
Working with glass provides me with an intense satisfaction in both artistic expression and in the ability to learn
something new everyday about one of man's oldest artistic forms. In the past, I looked at glass as completely
utilitarian and it wasn't until I started taking classes in stained glass and seeing some of the beautiful work done in
glass that I started to really appreciate glass for its artistic qualities.
Migrating from stained glass, I have since developed my own unique style in working with fused glass and
flameworking but intend to continue with my stained glass endeavours. Glass has become my biggest artistic passion
and I strive to expand on both my knowledge and artistic expression daily. I hope by continuing to grow and expand
on my abilities to create unique and beautiful pieces of art from glass, that I can pass on some of my knowledge and
create items of artistic beauty that people can enjoy for years to come. If I am able to create an item that is beautiful
as a work of art but can also have a functional purpose, then I have achieved my objective to bring a little unique
beauty into this world.

- April 2007 - attended Hollow beads class by Jeri Warhaftig - 2007 Glass and Bead Expo, Las Vegas Nevada
- March 2007, Danny attended Great Basin College of Northeastern Nevada and studied Intermediate
Beadmaking under renowned beadmaker Kristen Orr.
- April 2006, Danny attended Great Basin College of Northeastern Nevada and studied Basic Beadmaking
under renowned beadmaker Kristen Orr.
- March 2006, Danny is a featured artist on the International Guild of Glass Artists website http://igga.org
- October 2004, Danny visited and toured Waterford Crystal in Waterford, Ireland. Through that visit, Danny
received valuable knowledge in the area of cold working glass.
- September 2003, Danny was provided with valuable information in the areas of flameworking and
glassblowing through his visit to the Caithness Glass factory in Perth, Scotland.
- May 2003, Danny studied in the shop of Custom Stained Glass Originals under glass artist Cheryl Schmidtlein.
